An original estimate by the council of $120k for the repair kept the project at bay for a whilst. Then Peter McNair got involved. A retired developer, Peter knew just the right questions to ask and the right information to collect to get the job done.

The Commonwealth Department of Veteran’s Affairs and the Northbridge Progress Association put in moneys – but what really triggered the work was the political imperative bought on by the hundred year centenary of Northbridge.
